Refund policy

We want you and your little ones to love your Clevfy products. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help.

Please carefully read this policy and after that you can visit our Request a return page to start your request.

Shipping & Returns

We currently ship to UK addresses only. This policy applies to all orders delivered within the United Kingdom.

UK Consumer Rights

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to return items within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund, no reason needed. We extend this window to 30 days as part of our customer satisfaction guarantee.

Your legal right to cancel

To cancel, tell us within those 14 days: email contact@clevfy.com, use the contact form, or send the cancellation form at the bottom of this page. Then send the goods back within 14 days of telling us.

We refund the price of the goods and the standard delivery you paid to get them to you. If you chose a faster delivery than our standard option, we refund the standard rate.

You can handle the book the way you would in a shop — open it, look at it, decide. If it comes back with more wear than that, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value. We won't refuse the cancellation over it, and we won't refuse it because the packaging is gone.

Our 30-day returns

On top of your legal right, we give you 30 days from delivery to change your mind. Same books, more time.

For a return under our 30-day policy the book needs to be unused and in a condition we can sell it in. This is our own offer, so these conditions are ours to set — they don't touch the 14-day legal right above, which always applies whatever we say here.

How to send something back

Email contact@clevfy.com or use the contact form with your order number and which book it is.

We reply within one working day with the returns address.

Pack it so it survives the post and send it to that address.

We refund once it arrives.

Please get in touch before posting anything. Returns that turn up unannounced still get refunded — we just can't match them to an order quickly, and it slows you down.

Who pays the postage

You pay return postage when you're changing your mind, under either the 14-day right or our 30-day policy.

We pay when the book is faulty, arrived damaged, or isn't what you ordered.

Get proof of postage — it's free at the Post Office counter. We can't refund on a return we never receive, but proof that you sent it is enough for us to refund without waiting for the parcel.

Refunds

We refund within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you showing us they were sent, whichever comes first. In practice it's usually the day the parcel lands.

Refunds go to the card or account you paid with. You'll get an email when we've issued it. How long it takes to appear is your bank's business, not ours — usually 3 to 5 working days.

No restocking fees, ever.

If something's wrong with it

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods have to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If yours aren't:

Within 30 days of delivery you can reject it outright for a full refund.

After 30 days you're entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a refund if that doesn't sort it.

These rights run for six years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland. There is no seven-day window and no photograph requirement — those are ours to ask for, not conditions on your rights.

Email us with your order number and, if you can, a photo of the problem and the packaging. Photos help us go back to the manufacturer; they're not a condition of your refund. We pay the return postage and you get a replacement or a full refund, your choice.

Safety: if you find a defect that could hurt a child — a loose ring, a split seam, anything coming away — tell us straight away and stop using the book. Don't wait to hear back before taking it off them.

Cancelling before it ships

We dispatch in 1–2 working days. Email us before it goes and we'll cancel it and refund in full. Once it's shipped, use the returns process above.

What we can't take back

Books marked final sale on the product page

Books returned outside the 30-day policy window, where the 14-day legal right has also passed

Books damaged after delivery through use or misuse

Sale and discounted books are returnable on the same terms as everything else unless the product page says final sale.

If your parcel doesn't arrive

The parcel is our responsibility until it reaches you. If tracking says delivered and it isn't with you, tell us — we'll chase the carrier and either resend or refund. You don't need to deal with the carrier yourself.
